Special Issue on Intelligent Systems, Data-Driven Science, Digital Innovation, and Engineering Practices – CISCon 2025
Vol. 1 No. 2 (2025)This special issue of the Advances in Engineering and Information Sciences (AEIS) features peer-reviewed and accepted journal articles derived from papers presented at the 4th International Computing & Information Sciences Conference (CISCon 2025), held on October 1, 2025, at Caraga State University, Butuan City, Philippines, as part of the LIKHA Summit 2025.
CISCon 2025, themed “Innovating for Impact: Computing and Engineering for Smarter, Inclusive Societies,” served as a premier platform for researchers, practitioners, and innovators to share advances in computing, engineering, and digital technologies. Anchored on the LIKHA framework—Launchpad for Global Talents and Innovators, Interdependent and High-Impact Coalition, Knowledge and Co-Creation, Hub for Academic Innovation, and Advancement in Digital Transformation—the conference emphasized interdisciplinary collaboration and solutions to real-world and societal challenges.
The articles published in this issue represent extended, revised, and final camera-ready versions of research works that were officially presented at CISCon 2025 and subsequently accepted for publication following AEIS’s rigorous double-blind peer-review process. These papers demonstrate scholarly contributions across diverse thematic tracks, including but not limited to:
-
Intelligent Systems and Data-Driven Science
-
Information Systems, Digital Innovation, and Technopreneurship
-
Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources
-
Methods and Systems Development in Engineering
Collectively, the works in this issue reflect the conference’s objective of fostering an inclusive and high-impact research environment that bridges academia, industry, and society. They highlight emerging trends, innovative methodologies, and practical applications that contribute to sustainable development, digital transformation, and inclusive technological progress.
This special issue stands as a testament to the collaborative efforts of AEIS, the CISCon 2025 Organizing Committee, reviewers, and authors in advancing knowledge and innovation in engineering and information sciences.
