Notably, this issue introduces a groundbreaking addition – Policy Briefs – in alignment with a proactive approach aimed at fostering stronger connections between academia, research managers, and legislators. Of particular significance is the Policy Brief dedicated to Geographic Information System Technologies for Industrial Tree Plantation (ITP) Mapping and Monitoring. It advocates for the seamless integration of these technologies into existing government policies. This integration is proposed to enhance the efficiency of mapping, monitoring, and managing ITPs across the country, thereby facilitating informed decision-making and promoting sustainable forestry practices.
